Visitor and Information Center Black Forest National Park Ruhestein

The visitor centre of the newly established Black Forest National Park on Ruhestein, integrates effortlessly into its surroundings and behaves inconspicuously from the various perspectives. The analogy of the forest is taken up in the exterior façade by the wooden shingle cladding and exposed wooden structures.
Arriving visitors are welcomed in the spacious foyer. The sun terrace offers a panoramic view of the surrounding treetops. The café, various exhibition, training and lecture rooms and a cinema provide insights into the topic of nature conservation in the Black Forest. The skywalk and observation tower provide a unique view of the untouched surrounding nature.
The furniture concept developed by UF Studio blends discreetly into the architectural design.
